The immediate priority for UK defenders today is the Apple emergency patch for CVE-2026-86950, covering iOS 26, macOS 26, and macOS 15. Any Apple device in your estate should be updated today. Beyond that, the ATCO Ltd energy ransomware claim (see table below) is a significant CNI signal — ATCO operates electricity, gas, and pipeline infrastructure and a confirmed ransomware incident at that scale would be notable. The cluster of healthcare ransomware this cycle — kidney care, first aid, social care, diagnostics — is consistent with the ongoing elevated threat to the health sector.
